About Me
Samia Wahbeh is a recent graduate of Arizona State University's School of Art, graduating Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Painting and Drawing. She currently resides in Scottsdale, Arizona, while working on her artistic practice. As a Palestinian-American artist, Samia strives to bring awareness of her culture to the world through her paintings.
Using primarily oil paint, she uses the rich, vibrant colors of her culture to bring botanicals, fruits, and still lifes into being. Using imagery associated with her childhood and personal cultural experiences brings her artwork to a personal level. She hopes to show the world her culture's beauty and the side often forgotten. She works primarily with oil paints and loves to explore new visual ideas that connect to culture, food, and family.
